The 2016 Games includes three Sundays. Special MTG Sunday worship services outreaches were used all over the world during the last Olympics.
MTG worship services can include prayer for the players, country, sports-based sermons, create a stadium-theme environment. Church members can wear the colors of their country's team or their favorite players.

:: Pray for local, community, or nationwide athletes involved in the event
::Display posters and even take an ad in the local newspaper.
::Decorate the entrance, and other parts of the church with sports gear, flags, soccer posters and other displays to create a TUG soccer feel.
::Ask your young people or drama group to prepare and perform a short sketch on soccer themes.
::Preach from scripture emphasizing values relating to sports. soccer and competition.
::Pray for the countries taking part, for the players and officials.
